This beautifully restored 1972 Datsun 240z with 30,464 original miles went through a full restoration. The story of this 240Z starts in the Bay Area where it was delivered new to Berkeley Datsun in 1972 to a lady named Melody. She would go on to name the Datsun "MeloZ" It was orange with a white interior when it left the showroom. However, in 1975 an exterior repaint was completed in a metallic brown. The owner worked at the Oakland airport where the hood of the car was accidentally sprayed by a fuel truck which inspired an exterior color change. Melody went on enjoying the Z up until 1988, even completing the Bob Bondurant driving school in it (the plaque is still present inside the car) Following a surgery it was put on jack stands where it stayed until purchased by the second owner in 2012. The current owner acquired the Z just 3 years later and a full restoration was requested of our team. The car was fully dissembled and repainted back to its original color (code #110) This was a glass out repaint with photos of the process documented. At this time the chassis was refreshed along with all the components. In preparation for sale, a full fluid service was preformed which included (engine oil, transmission oil, differential oil, coolant) It's time for the next chapter in Melo Z's life.
