Location: Tacoma, WA

Employment: Full-time (Overtime and Weekends when required)

Compensation:

  • $32.50-$50.00/hr, rate dependent upon experience

Summary Description: At Griot’s Motors we are building a team of experts who know how to complete a restoration project to the highest caliber. We are currently in need of an experienced fabricator to aid in aspects of the restoration that included panel replacement, rust removal and panel fabrication, fabrication of engine components for custom applications, and other opportunities that will require creative problem solving and fabrication using various materials.

Primary Position Requirements:

  • Highly skilled in cutting, bending, shaping and fitting of steel and aluminum panels using common fabrication equipment
  • Experience in expertly using hand tools to address irregularities in body panels before refinishing
  • Basic understanding of woodworking tools
  • Proficient in welding processes including Tig welding of steel, stainless steel and aluminum with high quality in regards to structural integrity and aesthetics
  • Experience using CAD software, 3d printing, and laser/water jet processes desirable
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and organized workspace
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary
  • Candidate should be capable and willing to perform tasks and research independently.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in fabrication environment preferably working with classic or collectible automobiles
