45k-Mile 1989 Porsche 944 S2 - SOLD

This 1989 Porsche 944 S2 is finished in black over plaid cloth and is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. The car was reporteldy sold new by Burdock-Rich Motors Porsche in Binghamton, New York, and was acquired by the owner in 2020. Equipment includes a Blaupunkt Reno stereo, cruise control, air conditioning, a removable sunroof, a rear spoiler, anti-lock brakes, and an alarm system. Service in March 2021 reportedly included replacing the timing belt, ignition components, and a valve cover gasket. This 944 S2 is now offered on dealership consignment with a window sticker, tools, the factory manuals, spare keys, a partially stamped service booklet, a Certificate of Authenticity, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Washington State title in the owner’s name.

The car is finished in Black (L041) and features a detachable tilt-up sunroof, pop-up headlights, fog lights, and a rear hatch spoiler. Aftermarket LED headlamps are installed and the rear glass is weathered around its seal, according to the selling dealer. Factory 16″ Design 90 wheels are mounted with Dunlop tires showing 2016 date codes. This example is optioned with an anti-lock braking system which was serviced with front rotors and pads by the selling dealer.
The seats are upholstered in black plaid and are joined by matching door panels and black carpets. Equipment includes air conditioning, a Blaupunkt CD stereo with remote, cruise control, an alarm, and power-adjustable front seats.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,400-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and battery voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 45k miles.
The 3.0-liter DOHC inline-four was rated at 208 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque when new and sends power to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle. Service in March 2021 reportedly included changing the timing and balance shaft belts, rollers and tensioners, distributor, rotor, spark plugs, and the valve cover gasket as well as an oil change and coolant flush.
