42k-Mile 1988 BMW M3 - SOLD

This 1988 BMW M3 is powered by a 2.3-liter S14 inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and is finished in Salmon Silver Metallic over black leather. Equipment includes 15″ basketweave wheels, a sunroof, a rear spoiler, fog lights, front sport seats, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, air conditioning, cruise control, and an onboard computer. The car has spent time in Virginia, Florida, Missouri, and Washington, and it was acquired in July 2017 by the current owner, who subsequently added approximately around 300 of the 42k miles shown. Recent service has included a valve adjustment. This E30 M3 is now offered on dealer consignment with the owner’s manual, service records, keys, a tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Washington title.

The car is finished in Salmon Silver Metallic (203) and features an electric sunroof, a rear spoiler, fog lights, painted mirror caps, twin exhaust outlets, and wider fenders compared to the standard E30. The front bumper cover was repainted under current ownership, and the selling dealer notes rock chips as well as a burn mark on a right fender.

Silver 15″ basketweave wheels feature BMW center caps and are wrapped in 205/55 Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position tires. The MacPherson strut/semi-trailing arm suspension was revised for the M3 with a thicker rear anti-roll bar as well as shorter and stiffer springs.

Black leather covers the manually adjustable front sport seats as well as the rear bench, and the cabin features a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include an onboard computer, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows, mirrors, and locks.

The three-spoke M-Tech I steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for oil temperature, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 42k miles.

The 2.3-liter S14 inline-four was factory rated at 192 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. Work in February 2022 included fluids services and a valve adjustment.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The sale includes literature, multiple keys, tools, and a stamped maintenance booklet. The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists registration history in Virginia, Florida, Missouri, and Washington.
