1992 Ford Mustang Restomod - SOLD

We’re proud to offer this exceptionally well-executed Fox Body Mustang restomod. A wildly capable yet deceptively subtle sleeper build engineered by Wicked Fabrication of Auburn, Washington.

Finished in timeless black, this custom-built Mustang presents as a clean, understated streetcar at first glance. Spend a few minutes with it, however, and the depth of engineering, fabrication, and thoughtful execution becomes immediately apparent.

The current owner acquired the car in 2009, though the full transformation began years later. The black paint was applied over 15 years ago and continues to present extremely well, making it the perfect foundation for this ground-up build. Major construction began in 2019 and was completed in 2023, with approximately 1,200 miles driven since completion.

Power comes from a Gen 3 5.0L Coyote crate engine purchased new from a local Ford dealer and fitted with a custom billet oil pan. A Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission delivers power through a custom aluminum driveshaft to a Detroit Truetrac differential with 4.11 gearing and 35-spline Strange axles. The front K-member and steering rack were modified to properly position the drivetrain and eliminate bump steer, resulting in a remarkably planted and confidence-inspiring driving experience.

Stopping and handling are managed by Wilwood performance brakes with Dash-3 stainless steel brake lines and a complete QA1 suspension system featuring coilovers and upgraded lower control arms. Custom headers and a hand-fabricated exhaust system were built specifically for this Fox Body Mustang to maximize ground clearance while delivering an aggressive, yet refined exhaust note. Additional fabrication highlights include a rear-mounted battery, a custom stainless steel fuel tank with straps, deletion of the spare tire well, and capped factory frame rails for increased chassis rigidity.

Inside, the car features Recaro reclining sport seats with four-point harnesses and a 350mm Momo Monte Carlo Alcantara steering wheel. The factory seat rails were shortened by approximately one inch, and the drive-by-wire accelerator pedal was repositioned rearward to improve ergonomics and long-distance comfort. A custom bolt-in six-point roll cage ties the interior together while adding meaningful rigidity and safety.

The exterior rides on custom billet SVT-style wheels measuring 17x8 up front and 17x9.5 in the rear, wrapped in high-performance Continental tires. The understated black finish maintains the sleeper appearance while subtly hinting at the performance beneath.

The Mustang was purchased stock from a longtime friend and is believed to be a two-owner car with approximately 117,000 original chassis miles. Virtually every mechanical system has been refreshed, upgraded, or re-engineered during the build, with minimal mileage accumulated since completion.

The car is located at our Tacoma, Washington facility and is available for inspection by appointment.
