We’re pleased to bring this rare, low-mileage 1972 Mercedes-Benz 250C coupe back to Bring a Trailer.
Showing just over 40,000 original miles, this well-preserved example was finished from the factory in Astral Silver Metallic (735G) over a rarely optioned black leather interior.
After acquisition, the car was stored in our climate-controlled facility and recently gone through to ensure proper drivability and reliability prior to listing. The result is a highly original, thoughtfully maintained classic Mercedes coupe that presents as an exceptional example of the W114 chassis.

The car was originally purchased new in 1972 from Keenan Motors in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by a pioneering local television journalist and remained in the same family until 2015. A period headshot of the original owner accompanies the vehicle’s history file, which also includes service invoices dating back to new, providing a well-documented ownership history rarely seen with vintage Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Factory equipment includes driving lights, a sunroof, electronic ignition, air conditioning, electric windows, Macassar Ebony wood interior trim, and a Becker Europa push-button radio, all contributing to the car’s period-correct luxury and usability.

In preparation for sale, the car received a comprehensive mechanical service to ensure proper operation and drivability. Work performed includes new engine oil and filter, fresh coolant, brake fluid flush, transmission fluid service, replacement fuel filter and fuel hoses, valve adjustment, and installation of a new valve cover gasket. The air conditioning system was recharged and fitted with new Schrader valves to correct prior leakage. The dual Zenith carburetors were removed, ultrasonically cleaned, rebuilt, and properly synchronized to promote smooth cold starts, consistent idle quality, and responsive driving behavior.

This 1972 Mercedes-Benz 250C is located at our Tacoma, Washington facility and is available for inspection and viewing by appointment.
