1992 Porsche 911 Cup Car

1993 & 1994 Japanese Carrera Cup Championship Winner + Original Race Memorabilia 

We’re proud to offer this authentic 1992 Porsche 911 Cup Car, built by the factory for Porsche’s single-make racing program and campaigned in the 1993 and 1994 Japanese Carrera Cup series. Driven by Koichi Kashiwabara during both seasons, this car is a documented part of Porsche’s early international customer racing efforts and remains in remarkably authentic condition. 

Factory-built for competition, 964 Cup cars featured seam-welded chassis, lightweight interior panels, no sound deadening, revised suspension geometry, upgraded braking.  
This car retains its factory Cup tamper-proof seals on all major mechanical components. While the engine currently installed is not original to the car, the seal confirms it was a factory-authorized engine swap, likely performed between the 1993 and 1994 seasons. It retains its original, born-with Cup transmission, verified during a detailed inspection by the Porsche Classic Center in Bellevue, Washington, who also confirmed the car’s authenticity as a factory-built Cup chassis.

As part of our recent mechanical preparation, we rebuilt and refinished the brake calipers, restored the original Cup wheels, fitted new Advan A052 tires, and removed and refinished the valve covers with new gaskets. The car received all new fluids including engine oil, brake fluid, coolant, and gearbox oil.
